The Yellow Pages industry is one of the very dumbest when it comes to Public Relations.
Their PR people are so inept that they let the overwhelming majority of people — most importantly other marketing people and organizations — spread the supposed “fact” that “No one uses the yellow pages anymore.”
The truth is that A LOT less people use it than even just ten years ago. But of course it is far from true that “No one uses the yellow pages anymore.”
Here’s a short video I shot yesterday when I came across a stack of freshly-delivered Dex Yellow Pages directories in an office building here in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago.
About one-third of the books were picked up by the building’s tenants, but the rest were still sealed in their plastic.
