Mike Koenigs: The Keys to the Kingdom Part IV

Last week I had an exercise where you imagined your perfect customer. How did it go?

From this point forward, whenever you make a marketing video, craft an email, create a blog post, or write your book, you’re going to speak and write to your perfect customer.

Speak to THE ONE,
Attract MANY

It’s a little bit counter-intuitive, but if you speak to THE ONE, you will attract many just like them.

You see, if you speak or write to “everyone,” you’re speaking to no one. You’re schizophrenic, and you’ll attract crazy, cheap, rotten customers that will suck your life force and all the joy from your job and profession. I call them “psychic vampires” and they’ll steal your soul and all the joy from your business, your life and purpose if you let them.

But when you speak to one, more like that person will be attracted to you, almost as if by magic. When you consistently speak directly to your one best customer, you will start attracting more people like him or her.

This is an exercise in manifestation. It is a spiritual act where the physical and the divine become one. Because after all, we are all one, right?

You Can Do This!

Now look at yourself in the mirror and repeat after me, “I CAN DO THIS!”

Remember at the beginning of this series when I told you I went from just 15% of my customers to 35% in less than a year?

Here’s how I did it.

During my next promotion, I read my script to the camera to a new customer I had just met at my event. Her name was Susan. She was real and heartfelt — someone who represented the kind of woman I wanted to attract as a customer. I knew how old she was, her marital status, her hopes, dreams, her fears and worries. I knew she had a son who was eight years old and knew what he liked, and knew what she wanted in life — to give back, make a difference and make lots of money to be free. I could imagine her standing in front of me – what she wore and I even remembered what her perfume smelled like. I made her real. I spoke only to her.

When I finished my video, my message was softer, more heartfelt, and more genuine. It was more real. My message became attractive to women – because I spoke to one. Only her.

Guess what? Our sales to women nearly doubled from 14% to 27%. Almost 35% of the audience at our next live event was women – entrepreneurs who were very similar to Susan. What’s more? This still blows me away. Our high-end mastermind and coaching program is now comprised of more than 50% women – and those customers pay us $25,000 per year for this coaching program. I have a dozen people in my high-end 1:1 coaching program that costs $125,000 per year. All of this happened because I practiced this exercise before making my marketing materials.

More recently, we attracted a new wonderful customer named Kristen who was attending that next event. She’s a widowed mother of four, spunky as heck, and she earned over $90,000 in three weeks after using one of our systems. What’s the best part? She spent only five hours setting up her “Marketing Machines.” I don’t know about you, but that’s the kind of success story I want to share.

This is the power of “The Perfect Customer” exercise. It works for any business, anywhere in the world. I promise you, this is the most significant marketing and training exercise I’ve ever learned or taught.

But instead of it taking you 25 years to figure this out on your own like it did me, you can use it right now.
